Out-of-Towners

For those of you kindly coming to our Pasadena, CA wedding from out of town, here is a list of some nearby hotels and restaurants (our site is located a few short blocks from "Old Towne," Pasadena-a long stretch of retail shops, beautiful restaurants, and everything else you could need). Also, our site is very near the 210 freeway, but I'll get more into that with another post featuring a map-don't let me forget!!

Restaurants:

Santorini Cafe (yummy special dinner restaurant-we checked this place out for hosting our reception but had to turn it down because the room was too small)

The Kitchen (great lunch spot)

Bucca di Beppo (HUGE italian portions for big crowds)
Akbar (our absolute fave Indian spot-dark and romantic and festive)

Bristol Farms (yummy breakfast!)

Whole Foods (great salad bar-quick lunch stop)

Lucky Baldwin's British Pub (cute patio, yummy fish n chips, Belgian brews)

location, location

www.happytrailscatering.com is the link for the site of our ceremony & reception. (I wish they'd update their photos! They're a bit 80's-ish, and do no justice to how beautiful the spot is) The minute I saw this spot for the first time, our whole wedding 'flashed before my eyes.' I could totally picture everything taking place-the ceremony taking place beneath the huge camphor tree, the dinner tables set up atop the green grass, our friends dancing on the brick patio, sunset-orange flowers on the tables, etc. I got that gut feeling-this was where everything was meant to take place.

Espana

Greg and I in San Sebastian, Spain in June of '08. Amazing town in the northern Basque region where we got engaged!! :) Lots of vino and tapas, beautiful beaches and friendly, fun people. Definitely now my favorite spot in the world.

a beautiful moment

greg has the countdown going on his iphone: less than 200 days until we exhange vows and party it up on June 27th of this year. thank you to BIANCA for inspiring me to create a blog in which i can get my creative juices flowing, vent my thoughts, welcome your thoughts, get you guys excited, and keep you all involved. 'the moment' is going to creep up on us fast, and there are still many fun elements to plan for it. from centerpieces to attire to music to drinks to sweets to flowers and everything else, there is much to think about and be excited for.
welcome to our blog, our sneak peek and personal invitation into our lives and our love and our plans and how they involve you!!
